Domo, an American Fork-based AI and data products platform, has released a special edition of its popular “Data Never Sleeps” infographic. The new release focuses on AI and its growth over the past year. As an extension of Domo’s annual Data Never Sleeps report, this edition provides a deep dive into the immense amount of AI data generated on the Internet every minute and its impact on our everyday lives.
“Over the past year, we’ve witnessed AI move from the periphery to the center of how we create, work and solve problems,” said Ben Schein, senior vice president of product at Domo. “What’s fascinating isn’t just the technology itself, but how quickly people have woven AI into the fabric of their daily lives. This report showcases that transformation in real time, showing us the human behaviors behind the AI revolution.”
Some highlights from the 2025 report include:
AI commitment: Global spend on AI every minute skyrocketed from $293,000 last year to over $1.21 million — a 312 percent increase. Additionally, AI startups raise an average of $184,046 in venture capital funding, and 1.9 million computer chips are sold every
60 seconds.
AI breakouts: The past year has seen incredible breakthroughs in the AI space — from the rise of LLM DeepSeek, which now processes over 347,000 queries every minute, to Agentic AI, which also rose from the shadows.
Double-edged sword: For every productivity increase, organizations and individuals can use AI for irritating or illegal means, as Americans received 109,444 robocalls each minute.
Upskilling and productivity impact: As AI grows more common in the workplace, every minute, employees save 1.23 million hours, adding up to over 140 years of productivity gained, according to Domo. As the workforce continues to desire AI skills more, six people enroll in GenAI courses every
60 seconds.
“The data highlights the hunger people have for tools that amplify their capabilities,” continued Schein. “Whether it’s a student getting help with homework or an employee using AI agents to streamline their workflow, people are embracing AI not as a replacement for human intelligence, but as a partner in getting things done. At Domo, we’re seeing this firsthand as our customers turn to AI to unlock insights from their data.”
