Intermountain Health acquires Las Vegas area home health company
Las Vegas area home health agency Advent Home Health has been acquired by Salt Lake City-based healthcare nonprofit Intermountain Health and will now operate as Intermountain Home Healthcare.
Advent Home Health is a Joint Commission-accredited home health company that brings expertise in nursing care, therapy and rehabilitation, medical social work and home health aide. Intermountain Health is a nonprofit healthcare organization that operates more than 60 clinic locations in the Las Vegas Valley in primary care, urgent care and multiple specialties including oncology, cardiology, endocrinology, pulmonology, physical medicine, and women’s and children’s health.
“The addition of Advent Home Health underscores our commitment to increasing access to home care for a greater number of individuals — and especially at-risk patients — in southern Nevada,” said Ryan Christensen, region vice president of Medical Group Operations for Intermountain Health. “This focus on providing care to patients in the comfort of their own home, particularly those who may have recently been discharged from the hospital or those with long-term health conditions, helps contribute to improved outcomes, fewer hospital readmissions and continuity of care.”
“We’re excited to join with Intermountain to share our expertise and continue caring for patients throughout the Las Vegas Valley,” said Claudine Wynot, who served as administrator for Advent Home Health and is now nurse administrator for Intermountain Home Healthcare. “This is an important development for our communities as we work to ensure patients have access to high-quality, value-based care.”

Intermountain Health has locations in seven states and additional operations across the western U.S. It is a nonprofit system of 33 hospitals, 385 clinics, medical groups with some 3,900 employed physicians and advanced care providers, a health plans division called Select Health with more than 1 million members and other health services.
