Tern Industries LLC of Ogden Valley has announced that it is moving the national headquarters of its subsidiary, Mixing Tanks USA, to Utah from Portland, Oregon.
The new location, also in Ogden Valley, will house the company’s design, engineering, sales, marketing and administrative teams.
Tern Industries is also the parent company of Portland Kettle Works, Used Beverage Equipment and Zwickler Hardware. The firm also invests in the redevelopment of commercial properties, supporting the growth of manufacturing and innovation across the United States.
Mixing Tanks USA is a manufacturer of stainless steel mixing and storage systems for the life sciences, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, industrial chemicals, food and beverage industries. Since its founding in 2011, the company has grown from serving startups to partnering with Fortune 500 companies, delivering precision-engineered vessels and fully integrated processing systems.
“U.S. companies are at a crossroads, facing both the challenge and opportunity of bringing manufacturing back home,” said Thad Fisco, CEO of Mixing Tanks USA. “By establishing our headquarters in Utah, we’re well-positioned to help manufacturers modernize and scale their infrastructure, creating a stronger competitive edge in the global marketplace.”
Mixing Tanks USA said its move to Utah reflects a nationwide surge in reshoring. According to a study from Deloitte and the Manufacturing Institute, Utah is expected to be a significant leader in U.S. manufacturing job growth within this decade, requiring more than 25,000 new manufacturing workers to meet the demand.
“Businesses nationwide are feeling the strain of disrupted supply chains and shifting tariffs,” said Fisco. “But with these challenges comes opportunity. Manufacturers that invest now in modern systems and capabilities will be best positioned to diversify, expand and thrive in this new era of U.S. manufacturing.”
“We believe in the future of American manufacturing,” said Fisco. “It’s not just about making products here again. It’s about being ready to compete and win.”
