The Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), a Utah networking organization for those involved in middle-market mergers and acquisitions and other equity transactions, has named its 2025 Utah Deal of the Year award winners.
ACG said the awards are made “recognizing exceptional transactions and the visionary leaders driving Utah’s dynamic business landscape. These awards highlight a commitment to recognizing a variety of transactions that collectively reflect the breadth and depth of the deal ecosystem in Utah and the fantastic entrepreneurs and investors who make them happen.”
“This year’s honorees represent the pinnacle of deal-making excellence, showcasing strategic acumen, innovative thinking and significant contributions to the region’s economic growth,” the ACG statement concluded.
Mo’ Bettahs Hawaiian Style Food, a fast-growing fast casual restaurant chain founded in Bountiful in 2007, received ACG’s Private Equity Deal of the Year award for its acquisition by a pair of national private equity firms. Lehi-based Savory Fund sold the 54-location chain to Blue Marlin Partners of Bethesda, Maryland, and Trive Capital of Dallas. Mo’ Bettahs’ founding brothers Kimo and Kalani Mack retained a significant minority stake in their company.
Named Strategic Merger Deal of the Year winner was Spiff, a sales compensation platform based in Sandy. Spiff joined forces with Salesforce, a cloud computing company headquartered in San Francisco in February 2024.
Vision Graphics, a South Salt Lake provider of large-format graphics and printing, was given ACG’s Growth Equity Deal of the Year award for its acquisition of Salt Lake City-based Queen of Wraps, also a large-format graphics company that specializes in vehicle wraps.
The Public Markets Deal of the Year award went to Waystar, a platform that provides health care revenue cycle management for the health care industry, for its recent successful public offering.
“We are thrilled to honor these four exceptional companies and their remarkable transactions,” said Rob McGee, vice president of awards for ACG Utah and senior vice president at Zions Bank. “Each award winner exemplifies excellence in their respective fields and demonstrates the power of innovation and strategic thinking in driving successful deals.”
The Deal of the Year Awards were made at the Intermountain DealSource Summit held recently in Park City.
