The first luxury alpine mountain resort to be built in Heber City has begun construction.
Ground was broken on April 2 for The Slope at the intersection of Highway 40 and River Road. When completed, it will offer more than 200 hotel-branded residences and a planned 100,000 square feet of retail space for public gatherings.
Angstrom Development Group said it has partnered with GVI Architects to offer year-round recreation, including an architecturally striking tubing hill, modern alpine wellness facilities, an elevated pool deck, and restaurants and shops. Located just 40 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport, The Slope is set alongside the Provo River and minutes from Deer Valley’s new East Village.
The Slope will be anchored by Andaz Heber Valley, an 85-key luxury lifestyle resort with hotel-branded residences. Known for its modern, design-forward hospitality and immersive local experiences, developers said the Andaz brand will bring a new level of mountain hospitality to the Heber Valley.
Angstrom said the resort will lead to the creation of more than 1,000 local jobs, $4.45 million in annual tax revenue to support city and state services, and a committed $202,000 donation to Wasatch Community Foundation to benefit local youth programs.
