• Chartway Credit Union, a Virginia-based credit union with branches in Utah, Texas and Virginia, has appointed Jhae Smith as vice president of commercial lending. Based in Salt Lake City, Smith will lead commercial and small-business lending strategy, overseeing loan production, portfolio performance and risk management. Smith has more than two decades of experience in commercial lending, with expertise spanning SBA, commercial real estate, commercial and industrial, construction, acquisition and development, and syndicated lending. Before joining Chartway, Smith served as senior vice president and senior commercial business manager at Capital Community Bank. Her experience also includes senior roles at First National Bank of Layton, First Utah Bank, JPMorgan Chase, Bank of the West and Zions Bank.

• Listen Technologies, a Bluffdale-based provider of advanced wireless listening solutions, and Ampetronic, a United Kingdom-based provider of hearing loop systems, have promoted Kim Franklin to chief marketing officer. She will lead global marketing across Ampetronic and Listen Technologies, which are brands that create assistive listening solutions that make clear audio accessible in any environment or setting. Franklin joined Listen Technologies in 2014 and most recently was global vice president of marketing. She has formulated and implemented strategic marketing initiatives that have helped Listen Technologies increase brand awareness and revenue. Listen Technologies and Ampetronic are aligned under a “one company, one voice” foundation under the Allvida family of companies. The brands are integrated in their approach to marketing strategy, product launches and global communication. They share core values, a unified purpose, and a vision for leadership in accessible audio.
GOVERNMENT
• Jefferson Moss, executive director of the Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity, has been appointed to the Utah Nuclear Consortium. Managed by the Utah Office of Energy Development, the consortium provides a framework for nuclear energy development and planning in Utah. Moss has extensive experience in economic development in both the public and private sectors, as well as a background in policy, academia and business innovation. Moss’ appointment is expected to strengthen the goals of “Operation Gigawatt” by aligning economic development with energy infrastructure projects. It will also increase collaboration between GOEO and OED, optimizing the state’s efforts to ensure reliable, abundant and affordable energy. At its October meeting, the GOEO board approved a pair of tax credit incentives totaling up to $97 million for Utah Energy LLC, a subsidiary of California-based General Matter Inc., to build a plant in Utah County to manufacture equipment for uranium enrichment and for fuel production for energy.

• SponsorCX, a Lehi-based company offering a platform to help properties and brands manage sponsorships more efficiently and work better with their partners, has appointed Russ Hannig as chief operating officer. Hannig will oversee marketing, human resources and customer success. Hannig has extensive experience scaling operations in high-growth environments. Most recently, he served as senior vice president of growth marketing at Gabb. He also spent five years at Ancestry in progressive leadership roles, culminating as senior director of integrated marketing and brand experience.
