ASSOCIATIONS
• The Salt Lake Chamber has named Jeremy Hafen as the new chair and Erin Laney Barr as vice chair of its Board of Governors. Hafen most recently served as the chamber’s vice chair. He is president and CEO of Clyde Companies Inc., a construction materials and services company. He joined Clyde in 2004 as a business development manager and later served as vice president of administration, as well as leading wholly owned subsidiary Sunroc Corp. and Sunroc Building Materials (now known as Sunpro), a sister company to Sunroc Corp. He also serves as a member of the board of directors of Clyde Companies. Before joining Clyde Companies, Hafen was a senior tax consultant at Deloitte in Dallas. Hafen previously served as the chair of the Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce, was recently appointed as a director of the Salt Lake City branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, is chair of the Board of Trustees for MTECH, serves on the Board of Trustees for Utah Valley University, is an Advisory Board member of the Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute and the Tuacahn Advisory Board, and is a BYU Marriott National Advisory Council member. He earned a Master of Accountancy degree in tax from Brigham Young University. Barr is managing director and market leader for CBRE’s Salt Lake City office. She joined CBRE in January 2022 with a background spanning real estate law, economic development and business attraction, and real estate development. She was a real estate attorney for over six years in Southern California and served as vice president of business development for the Economic Development Corporation of Utah. Before being appointed market leader, she served as a transaction manager at CBRE.
• Silicon Slopes has appointed Brandon Fugal to its board of directors. Fugal is chairman of Colliers International in Utah. Fugal is also an active investor and entrepreneur across technology, life sciences and aerospace. He has served on numerous boards, championed Utah’s economic expansion, and was named EY’s Entrepreneur of the Year in 2016. He is recognized for revitalizing landmark properties like the historic Newhouse building and for his philanthropic involvement in education, homelessness and health care.
• The Park City Chamber & Visitors Bureau has announced the results of its board of directors election. New members will be seated July 22 to start four-year terms. Board veteran Aldy Milliken of the Kimball Art Center is the new chair, succeeding Susie English. Incoming board members for 2025-26 are Dan Bullert, Stein Eriksen Lodge; Allison Diamond, Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation; Emily Fisher, Youth Sports Alliance; Heleena Sideris, Park City Lodging; and Joel Zarrow, Park City Community Foundation. Rotating off the board this year are Rachel Alday, Abode Luxury Rentals; Spencer Byrne, All Seasons Adventures; Jamie Johnson, Park City Board of Realtors; Whitney Ryan, Canyons Village Management Association; Rhonda Sideris, Park City Lodging; Betsy Wallace, Christian Center of Park City; Melanie Welch, Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation; Diego Zegarra, Park City Community Foundation; and Tal Adair, Security National Mortgage.
BANKING
• Mountain America Credit Union, based in Sandy, has promoted Musheer Alambath to senior vice president of internal audit. In the newly created role, Alambath will continue to drive the credit union’s audit strategy and risk management framework. Alambath has over 20 years of experience. He joined Mountain America in October 2024 as vice president of internal audit, tasked with building a scalable audit function. Within eight months, he established a strong team, launched an audit framework, and improved internal governance. Alambath is a CPA and has led audit teams across North America, Europe and the Middle East. He began his career at a major UAE bank, earning six promotions, including vice president, while auditing key operations. Alambath serves on the board of the Institute of Internal Auditors in the U.S. and Toronto.
COMMUNICATIONS
• Lyman Communications LLC, a Salt Lake City-based provider of long-term, temporary, emergency and rapidly deployable communication services, has hired Aaron Rose as chief strategy officer. In the newly created role, Rose will lead Lyman Com’s growth strategy by developing and implementing its corporate strategy and long-range strategic plan. In this role, he will monitor market dynamics to inform strategy, identify growth opportunities, set strategic objectives aligned with Lyman Com’s vision, and partner with Lyman Com customers to help guide the execution of the company’s strategy and customer success. Based in San Jose, Calif., Rose has over 30 years of experience working with technology companies.
HEALTH CARE
• University of Utah Health has announced that three faculty members have completed year-long fellowships in the Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine program, and three more have been announced for 2026. ELAM cultivates female leaders destined for C-suite positions in hospitals and health care systems. The program Class of 2025 includes Christy Porucznik, Dr. Courtney Scaife and Dr. Porucznik completed the ELAM program, while Scaife and Werner completed the Executive Leadership in Health Care (ELH) program. ELH focuses on women who aspire to lead in health care organizations. An epidemiologist, Porucznik is a professor in the Division of Public Health. A surgical oncologist in Salt Lake City, Scaife has over 25 years of experience in the medical field and is affiliated with University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics. Werner is a professor in the Division of Oncology, Department of Medicine, at the University of Utah School of Medicine; an investigator at the Huntsman Cancer Institute; and a member of the Experimental Therapeutics Program. The ELAM and ELH Class of 2026 fellows are Drs. Rachel Weir and Kristi Smock. A hospitalist and palliative medicine physician, Graves is an associate professor within the Division of General Internal Medicine and the Department of Internal Medicine at UofU Hospital. Weir is associate professor (clinical) and chief of mental health integration for the Huntsman Mental Health Institute and U Health. Smock has been selected for the ELAM fellowship at Drexel University. Smock is a medical director of the Hemostasis/Thrombosis Laboratory and a clinical professor at the University of Utah Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine and vice president and chief medical director for the ARUP Laboratories Institute of Clinical and Experimental Pathology. ELAM participants benefit from extensive coaching, networking and mentoring opportunities. Fellows have access to the dean at the , CEO of University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics, other institutional mentors, a project mentor, and national advisors in the ELAM learning community. As part of their ELAM experience, fellows design, implement and initiate evaluation of an Institutional Action Plan, which integrates the curricular resources and peer support of the fellowship in a tangible leadership contribution to the fellow’s institution.
MINERALS
• US Critical Materials, a Salt Lake City-based, privately held rare earth exploration and process development company, has appointed retired U.S. Army Gen. Stephen Townsend as senior advisor. Townsend is a former combatant commander of U.S. Africa Command, leading strategic military operations across Africa, strengthening alliances and safeguarding national interests. He has served in key leadership roles commanding at the highest levels in the Army and the U.S. military. His combat and operational experience includes operations in Grenada, Panama, Haiti, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria and Africa.
REAL ESTATE
• CBRE, a commercial real estate services and investment firm, has hired Jillian Hanks as vice president in Salt Lake City, specializing in office leasing advisory and transaction services. Hanks most recently was with JLL, serving as an advisor to landlords and developers across the Wasatch Front. Hanks has also collaborated with companies in the professional services, engineering, tech, legal, consumer product, banking and finance sectors, helping them expand within the Utah market. Hanks earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Utah. She currently serves on the NAIOP Utah board of directors.

• One West Tourism Alliance Education & Research Foundation, an organization dedicated to advancing the tourism industry through research, education and advocacy, has appointed Adam Stoker to its Board of Trustees. Stoker is CEO of Brand Revolt, a Provo-based marketing agency. Stoker’s inclusion on the board highlights his continued influence and thought leadership in the tourism sector. As the founder and CEO of Brand Revolt, he has helped destinations tell their stories with authenticity, strategy and impact. The One West Tourism Alliance Education & Research Foundation supports initiatives that enrich the tourism landscape through scholarships, innovation grants, industry insights and leadership development.
