The Salt Lake Board of Realtors (SLBR) has announced it will give a total of $240,000 in down payment assistance to first-time home buyers during 2026.
The grants are part of the American Dream program launched by the SLBR in 2019.
First-time buyers who work with a Realtor who is a member of SLBR are eligible to apply for a $10,000 American Dream grant. Recipients must meet program requirements, including a credit score above 640 and a household income at or below $141,400. Grants are awarded through a random drawing.
“Helping first-time buyers achieve homeownership strengthens our communities and creates lasting stability for families,” said Scott Colemere, president of the Salt Lake Board of Realtors. “These grants not only provide financial assistance but also demonstrate the generosity and commitment of Realtors to giving back.”
So far this year, eight $10,000 grants have been awarded. The next four grants will be announced in May. Realtors can apply for their qualifying clients online at the Salt Lake Board of Realtors website.
