The SBA Utah District Office is proud to recognize the outstanding small businesses and entrepreneurs who have been honored as National Small Business Week award winners. These individuals exemplify innovation, resilience, and dedication. Small businesses play a vital role in Utah, fueling job creation, driving economic growth, and enriching our neighborhoods. The SBA’s mission remains clear: to empower small businesses, provide critical resources, and help entrepreneurs succeed. By supporting small businesses through capital, counseling, and contracting opportunities, we are building a stronger, more competitive economy for Utah and the nation.
As we close out FY24, the SBA Utah District Office celebrates another year of strong support for small businesses across the state. Last year, over $2.9 billion in SBA-backed capital, grants, and federal contracting dollars supported Utah’s economy and accelerated small business growth. Access to SBA capital remains a driving force for Utah’s small businesses, and the SBA Utah District Office is proud to have supported $955 million in traditional lending to entrepreneurs. Recognizing that access to knowledge is just as critical as access to funding, the SBA provided over $1.6 million in funding to its Utah Resource Partners, ensuring small businesses across the state receive free consulting and training opportunities. Beyond capital and counseling, the SBA’s contracting support and certificates for small businesses helped secure more than $1.5 billion in federal contracts. A top priority of the SBA is to continuing to ensure entrepreneurs have opportunities and can navigate government procurement, which strengthens not only small businesses but also the supply chain of the federal government.Together, we are not just fueling businesses—we are building a stronger, more competitive economy for Utah and the nation. Congratulations again to Utah’s 2025 National Small Business Week award winners.
