Scripius, a pharmacy benefit manager committed to transparency and affordability, has announced key leadership advancements.
Eric Cannon has been elevated to chief commercial officer and general manager of Scripius. In this expanded role, Cannon will continue leading pharmacy services at Select Health, while driving the strategic direction of Scripius.
As the founding leader of Scripius, Cannon helped to launch the organization in 1998 to bring greater transparency and accountability to the pharmacy benefit manager market.
“From the beginning, Scripius has been about more than managing pharmacy benefits; it’s been about changing the system for the better,” Cannon said.
To support continued growth and innovation, Scripius appointed the following leaders to key roles:
Matt Mitchell has been named chief pharmacy officer for Scripius. Mitchell will oversee formulary strategy, manufacturer contracting, clinical programs, pharmacy trend management, and network development.
Jennie Barlow has been appointed assistant vice president of pharmacy industry relations. Barlow will lead pharmaceutical contracting efforts and expand network development initiatives.
Steve Williams has been named assistant vice president of pharmacy systems. Williams will manage pharmacy system infrastructure supporting over 11 million claims and more than $1 billion in pharmacy-related payments annually.
La’i Davies has been promoted to assistant vice president of pharmacy operations. Davies will continue managing critical functions, including customer service, claims processing, prior authorizations, auditing and other operational processes for both Scripius and Select Health Pharmacy.
