Silicon Slopes names Hall fo Fame finalists, will announce winners at Feb. 4 gala

Silicon Slopes has announced the finalists for its Hall of Fame & Awards competition, with the winners set to be announced at a Feb. 4 gala in Salt Lake City.

The awards program was launched in 1999 by an organization known then as the Utah Information Technology Association and later as the Utah Technology Council after UITA merged with the Utah Life Science Association. It identifies leaders and companies who have contributed to the ongoing and growing success of Utah and Silicon Slopes.

The finalists for the individual awards are:

• CEO: Adam Edmunds, Entrata; Monte Deere, Kizik; Julie Castle, Best Friends Animal Society; Paul Walker, FranklinCovey; and Broke Blake, Lendio.

• CMO: Burke Alder, Pattern; Alex McArthur, Kizik; and Tarah Neujahr Bryan, Health Catalyst.

• COO: Eric Levesque, Strider; Trish Cox, Galileo Financial Technology; and Ben Roberts, LoanPro.

• CTO: Joel Weight, Overstock; Daren Thayne, Domo; and Sanchaita Datta, FatPipe Networks.

• Chief People Officer: Mindi Cox, O.C. Tanner; Jordan Murray, Humanitarian Experience; and Brady Haider, Experlogix.

• CFO: Felix Morgan, PCF Insurance Services; Adrianne Lee, Overstock; and Dale Bowen, Instructure.

• Health and Wellness: CharityVision, Noorda School of Osteopathic Medicine and PeopleKeep.

• Software: Entrata, Avetta, Pluralsight, DeepSee and Zeni.

• Services: Tanner, Lease End and GUIDEcx.

• Aerospace and Defense: Intergalactic, Teal Drones and Catalyst Campus Ogden.

• Media and Entertainment: Limitless Flight, Jump, Continuum and Ancestry.

• Web3: Tafi, Giddy and Galvan.

Finalists in a new category, Startup of the Year, will be announced later. They will be pre-Series B companies.

Silicon Slopes earlier had announced the three newest inductees into the Silicon Slopes Hall of Fame: Jeanette Bennett, founder of Utah Valley Magazine and BusinessQ Magazine and CEO of Bennett Communications; John Pestana, an entrepreneur and innovator in the Internet and software-as-a-service industries who co-founded both Omniture and ObservePoint, where he is currently the CEO; and Jonathan Johnson, CEO and board member of Overstock who previously served as president of Medici Ventures.

Award recipients will be announced at a black-tie-and-sneakers gala Feb. 4 at the Grand America Hotel.
