Becklar acquires South Carolina's Legacy Security Services in monitoring expansion
The Ogden-based critical event monitoring company adds nearly 2 million subscribers' worth of capacity by acquiring Greenville, S.C.-based wholesale alarm monitoring provider Legacy Security Services
Becklar, an Ogden-based critical event monitoring company, has acquired Legacy Security Services Inc., a wholesale monitoring provider headquartered in Greenville, South Carolina.
With nearly 2 million subscribers across North America, Becklar provides emergency response for home security systems, fire protection and medical emergency alarms.
Legacy Security Services has been a wholesale partner to security dealers since its founding in 2007 by the Few and Brown families. Legacy provides central station services, workforce safety and remote video technology, with a second location in Denham Springs, Louisiana.

Bailey said the acquisition will give Becklar new channels for recurring monthly revenue growth and expand its service offerings, adding video remote guarding, personal emergency response systems and workforce safety solutions. The merger will also provide improved facility, signal path and people redundancy for Becklar's nine monitoring centers across the U.S. and Canada.
Legacy Security will transition to the Becklar brand while maintaining the same team of employees.
