Big-D’s Moore named president of Utah NAIOP
Big-D Construction executive Braden Moore named NAIOP Utah president, leading commercial real estate advocacy and industry growth efforts.
NAIOP Utah, a professional association of commercial real estate developers, owners and investors, has named Braden Moore, vice president and project executive at Big-D Construction, as president of the Utah Chapter. The appointment becomes effective June 1.
NAIOP said Moore will lead its board of directors and work to advance the association’s mission of promoting responsible commercial real estate development across the state. Under his leadership, the chapter will place a strong emphasis on legislative advocacy, “championing policies that support a healthy commercial real estate environment in Utah, as well as deepening the chapter’s commitment to community impact and meaningful engagement across the industry.”
“Serving as president of the NAIOP Utah Chapter is an incredible honor,” said Moore. “Utah’s commercial real estate market is one of the most dynamic in the country, and I believe NAIOP has a critical role to play in shaping the legislative and community landscape that allows our industry to thrive. I look forward to working alongside our members and partners to advocate for smart policy and give back to the communities where we live and build.”
Moore brings more than 20 years of construction industry experience to the role, having begun his career in the field as a laborer and carpenter apprentice, a foundation that he said has shaped his deep respect for the craft and for the people who bring projects to life. At Big-D, he served as national project development director before being promoted to vice president of the Salt Lake City Group in 2023, where he oversees client relationships, project execution, business operations and strategic growth in the Utah market. Moore has been a member of the NAIOP Utah board of directors.
“Braden exemplifies the kind of leader who makes our entire industry better.,” said Rich Hazel, president of Big-D Construction and a former NAIOP president. ‘His passion for construction, his commitment to this state, and his ability to bring people together make him the ideal person to lead this chapter.”
